HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - July 17 was a big day for First United Methodist.  We began the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home at the corner of Breard and 16th street.  One frame wall it up! It is amazing what can be accomplished when we all work together.  Please join us if you can and you can make a difference in the life of a wonderful family.

Click on  home page Habitat picture for all pictures of the progress.

We will work each Saturday morning from 8:00a.m.-Noon (unless we move to begin earlier in the morning).  You can volunteer your services to work one Saturday or numberous Saturdays.  The areas that we need volunteers are listed below.  We can only have 15-20 persons working each Saturday, so someone will contact you on the day your services are needed for a specific purpose.  You DO NOT have to know how to do these things.  You will be taught on site by the foreman.

Areas of work:

Framing and/or decking      Clean up

Installing siding                   Landscaping

Painting                             Water/snacks/lunch

Finish/touch up

You will be blessed as you make a differnce in the life of this family.  If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office.

Please stay up to date on what's going on in our Student Ministry by signing up for our e-mail news blasts at www.fumcstudents.com/email.
