THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the on-line survey or submitted one in New Beginnings worship. Feedback was excellent and instructive in helping your leadership prepare FUMC strategically for the future. As a result of the survey, no changes are currently anticipated to the worship schedule at FUMC, Monroe. Pastor Lynn and the staff will continue working with the Dream Team and the Church Council as we discern God’s continuing call upon FUMC.
J-FORCE registration has started! Find registration forms in the Great Hall or online at www.fumcmonroela.org. J-Force will begin September 7th. Also, volunteers are needed—please contact Kem Alexander to volunteer.
After Hours will resume Wednesday, August 24, with a Potluck supper at 5:15 p.m. and studies for all ages at 6:00 p.m. Plan to make After Hours an important part of your family’s activities each week!
SPECIAL SERVICE - Sunday, September 11th at all three worship services, we will have a time of recognition and prayer for our first responders, fire, and police personnel. We owe much to them, especially in times like these, when so many have lost so much because of flooding, etc.

STAIR - For 5 years, our church has participated in the STAIR (Start The Adventure In Reading) program, a volunteer-based, non-profit children’s literacy program that serves students from around the state. We have been serving students from Jack Hayes elementary school Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00-4:45 p.m. here at the church, and desperately want to continue shaping the future of the children in our community. In order to do this, we need your help. We are in need of a coordinator for the program as well as volunteer tutors and drivers. Please contact Chris in the church office or at email@example.com if you can help this vital ministry.
